from afar this cultural space stands as a singular, spotless gesture on the horizon, an apt commemoration of the life and achievements of his holiness pope john paul II. working in harmony with landscaped parkland, the design strives to uplift and nourish spiritual reflection. when viewed from below, where functional operations are housed, the expansive public causeway in the form of a cross is silhouetted on the backdrop of the heavens. from each of the four quadrants formed by this cruciate layout, white parabolic rooflines sweep upward in an exhilarating evocation of the beloved pope’s uplifted arms, his emblematic greeting to the throngs of faithful.
